Hong Kong PhD Fellowship
The scheme aims to recruit outstanding graduates, irrespective of country of origin and ethnic background, to Hong Kong, and will provide a 3-year tuition scholarship, a monthly stipend of HK$28,100 (approximately US$3,500) and Conference and Research related travel allowance of HK$12,600 (approximately US$1,600) per year for awardees for a maximum period of four years. Applicants should have satisfactory scores in TOEFL (internet-based: 80 or above) or IELTS (6.5 or above). Research Assistants/Associates/Postdocs/RGC PDFS
The RGC PDFS aims at providing promising local and non-local postdoctoral researchers at UGC-funded universities with support at a pivotal time in their very early career, so as to incentivise young research talent to build up a career in the field of research and development (R&D) in Hong Kong. For each PDF awardee, the basic salary will be HK$436,600 per year (approximately US$55,600), plus a conference and research-related travel allowance (of HK$12,600 per year inclusively) throughout the 36-month fellowship period. The successful applicants will work on the following topics respectively: (1) Durability, reliability, and risk-informed assessment and management of infrastructure systems; (2) Performance-based structural design under multiple hazards, (3) Fatigue damage assessment and updating incorporating structural health monitoring, (4) Sustainability assessment considering climate change, (5) Resilience assessment of interdependent infrastructure systems, and (6) physics-informed deep learning for predictive modeling, analysis, and optimization of complex systems. The applicants are expected to have a Master degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, engineering mechanics or other related areas.
