Welcome to the Urban Resilience and Intelligent Maintenance Lab at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University!
Dr. You Dong is an Associate Professor of Intelligent Maintenance at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The HK PolyU. His main research focuses on the risk, resilience, and sustainability-informed design, assessment, and life-cycle intelligent maintenance of assets under the effects of deterioration, hazards, and climate change by using data science, robotics, and machine learning. In addition, Dr. Dong's research group focuses on the data-driven computational model, inspection and maintenance robotics, physics-guided deep learning, and digital twin-enabled intelligent maintenance. Recent applications emphasize civil infrastructure, energy systems (e.g., wind turbines, power system), networks (e.g., transportation, cyber-physical system), and interdependent infrastructure systems. The ultimate goal is to aid the development of the next generation of engineering systems. Postdoc and Ph.D. Position Available! (wind turbine, SHM and control, infrastructure adaptation, machine learning, structural engineering, reliability, intelligent predictive maintenance, etc.) |
